Free weekly email
The weekly fix
One fault a week, the cause behind it, and one drill to work on. Every word of it comes off a page on this site that is already free to read, so the email is a reason to fix one thing this week rather than a reason to hand over an address.
What you are agreeing to
- How often
- Once a week, on a Thursday. There is no second list, no announcement email, and no offer, because there is nothing here to sell.
- What is in it
- One fault, the cause behind it in a sentence or two, and one drill quoted word for word from the fix page it came off. Then a link to that page, which carries the rest.
- Nothing is held back
- Everything in the email is already on the site, free, with no account. The email is a reason to work on one thing this week rather than content you can only get by subscribing.
- Double opt-in
- Typing an address in sends one confirmation link to it and nothing else. If the link is never followed, nothing is ever sent again and the record is deleted after thirty days.
- No tracking
- Plain text, no images, no pixel, and no rewritten links. There is no record of whether you opened it or what you clicked, because none is collected.
- Leaving
- One click, from the link at the foot of every email or your mail app's own unsubscribe button. It takes effect immediately, with nothing to confirm and no reason to give.
- No repeats
- Each fix goes out once. When you have had all of them, the email stops rather than starting again from the top.
What one looks like
This is the first one a new subscriber gets, shortened. The email itself is plain text and carries the drill in full.
The fault
No repeatable setup or routine
The cause
Aim, ball position, stance width and grip get rebuilt slightly differently on every shot, so face angle, low point and strike location all vary with them. Address is the reference the whole swing is measured from, and a reference that moves explains misses that seem to have no pattern.
The drill
The two-stick station
Lay one alignment stick on the ground just beyond the ball, pointing at the target, and a second at right angles to it, pointing at the ball from between your feet. Hit twenty balls with a mid-iron, stepping back behind the ball and running the full routine for every one. ...
Read the whole fix now (no address needed, as with every page here)
What is stored is your address, the tokens that confirm and unsubscribe it, the page you signed up from, and which fixes have been sent so none is repeated. It is never sold, never shared, and never used for anything but this email. The privacy policy sets that out in full, and the contact form reaches someone if a link in an email has stopped working.
